Pioneer of open and playful movement
Growing up in a family of educator: inside, the founder and designer Stephan Schenk searched for an opportunity to enable children to move more.
The starting idea was a playfully adjustable, dynamic stool. But when Stephan showed the prototypes to the children, he quickly noticed that they used the elements far beyond his original intention.
Instead of just sitting on it, they built towers, built the course, sorted colors and let their imagination run wild. The children tirelessly experimented and always invented new, creative paths to move with and on the elements.
After more than two years of development in cooperation with Expert: Interior from pedagogy, childhood and movement development and design was 2018 Stapelstein® born. This created a new toy category for the free moving game.
To date, over 800,000 children and families have with Stapelstein® Elements brought more variety to their everyday life.
