Hit – Basic Skill Game
Place a rolling disc in a Stapelstein® Original element and try to roll the same-sized ball into the hole as quickly as possible using skillful hand movements, such as tilting or turning. For an extra challenge or a marble run, you can place small wooden figures from GRIMM'S on the rolling disc. Make sure the figures remain upright during the rolling and the ball is skillfully guided around them. There are also small additional holes on the rolling disc. You can decorate these with straws, flowers, or other decorative elements. At the same time, they serve as additional obstacles that the ball must overcome on its way to the hole.
Tip: To make the game more dynamic, use an hourglass or the "Time Feel" tool from our Stapelstein® App Inspire to challenge yourself in a race against time.
Marble Balance Course
Build an exciting course from Stapelstein® elements and everyday objects like chairs, tables, stools, or a clothes rack. Place a rolling disc with the corresponding ball in a Stapelstein® Original element. Your task: Balance the ball safely through the course without it falling into the hole. Overcome obstacles, climb over barriers, or jump skillfully from one point to the next while the ball always remains in the Stapelstein® element.
Test different rolling discs and balls: With which combination is it easiest for you? Which is the biggest challenge?
Tip: Use an hourglass, an alarm clock, or the tool "Feel Time" in the Stapelstein® App Inspire to master the course against the clock and challenge yourself or others.
Rolling Billiards
Select a Stapelstein® Original element and place the rolling disc with the largest hole inside. Choose three differently colored balls and set a color sequence in which the balls should roll into the hole – for example: first the red, then the yellow, and finally the orange ball.
Other variations:
- Variation with sizes: Try the game with balls of the same size and increase the challenge by using balls of different sizes. Can you still maintain the order?
- Vary the playing field: Insert straws or flowers into the additional small hole as an extra challenge. Can you still keep the order?
- Time challenge: Measure the time it takes you to roll all the balls into the hole in the correct order.
- With friends: Take turns playing and see who can achieve the order the fastest or with the fewest attempts.
This game combines skill and concentration and is a lot of fun – whether alone or in a group!
Ball Transport
For this game, you need a playing partner. Together, choose a rolling disc with the corresponding ball and place it in a Stapelstein® Original element. Hold the element together at the sides and place the ball inside. Now it gets exciting: Transport the ball by skillfully balancing the element from one side of the room to the other – without letting the ball fall into the hole! Teamwork and a good sense of balance are required.
How far can you get without losing the ball? And can you maybe even create an obstacle course?
Musical Rolling
Discover the sound world of wooden balls in the Stapelstein® Original elements! Place one or more balls in an element and start to set the balls in motion by gently rolling, tilting, or turning. Pay attention to the different sounds created by the combination of speed, direction of movement, and ball size.
Experiment: Speed:
- How does the sound change when you let the ball roll slowly or quickly?
- Movements: Create rhythms by alternating tilting or create even tones by continuous spinning.
- Combinations: Place several balls inside at the same time – how do they sound together?
Create your own rhythm – let your creativity run free and make music with movement!
Wipp & Roll
For this game, it is helpful if you have a helper. Place a rolling disc in a Original element, stand on the edge of the Originals and find your balance. Once you are stable, the second person places the ball that fits the hole into the Original. Maintain balance on your element while trying to keep the ball moving by targeted rocking, tilting, circling, or even rolling it into the hole without losing balance. For more safety, hold onto a wall, the hands, or shoulders of the helping person. This game not only trains your balance but also coordination.
Variant for the experienced:
Stand on a Stapelstein® Board and try to maintain your balance. Now take the Original element with the rolling disc and matching ball in your hands and try to hit the hole while balancing. Tip: Increase the challenge by trying different directions of movement, letting the ball roll in a pattern, or extending the duration of your balance hold.
Imaginative Playshaping worlds
Awaken your Stapelstein® elements, rolling discs, and balls to life and create imaginative play landscapes! Transform the balls, for example, into figures that experience exciting adventures, and build a world full of possibilities from the elements.
Examples of scenes:
- Play kitchen: Transform the Stapelstein® elements into pots and the rolling discs into matching lids – this way the most delicious fantasy dishes are created in no time.
- A journey in the boat: Stack an element upside down like a boat and let the balls glide as passengers over the “sea”. Waves and obstacles can be represented by gently tilting or rocking the boat.
- A cave expedition: Build a cave with the elements through which the balls can roll. Maybe they find treasures or have to avoid traps.
Tip: Complement the play worlds with additional materials, cloths, or natural materials like stones, branches, or the diverse wooden utensils from GRIMM’S to make your story even more lively. Tell a story with it – your imagination knows no limits. set!
Mission Color Run
Place the rolling discs with matching balls in different colored Stapelstein® elements and distribute them around the room. Each color represents a specific task. Run to an element, perform the corresponding task, and then quickly move to the next element.
Examples of color tasks:
- Blue: “Roll the ball 5 times in a circle on the rolling disc without sinking the ball into the hole.”
- Red: “Roll the ball into the hole using only your feet/elbows as quickly as possible.”
- Yellow: “Place the ball in the Original and let it fall into the hole 3 times.”
- Green: “Roll a ball on a rolling disc while holding the element on your head.”
Tips for more variations:
- Race against time: Use an hourglass, an alarm clock, or the "Zeitfühlen" tool from the Stapelstein® App Inspire and try to complete all tasks as quickly as possible.
- With play partners: Take turns or play simultaneously and see who completes the tasks faster.
-
Create your own tasks: Come up with creative new tasks that match the color of the elements and expand the game!
Roller Dance
Place a ball in a Stapelstein® Original element. Hold the element securely with both hands and move through the room dancing. Your challenge: The ball must not fall out of the element!
This is how it becomes varied:
- Vary movements: Try different dance steps – spinning, hopping, tiptoeing, horse-galloping, or elegant lunges.
- Adjust speed: Switch between slow, flowing movements and fast, energetic steps.
- Test balance: Try balancing the element on one hand or switch it from one hand to the other while dancing.
Tip: With your favorite music, it's twice as much fun!
