All Stapelstein® elements are pushed together into two to three differently sized islands or "ice floes." The playing children move crisscross through the room to the music. As soon as the music stops, the children save themselves as quickly as possible onto the floes.

The game leader removes one to two elements after each round.

The game leader can set various tasks while the music is playing, such as walking backward, hopping, crawling, doing jumping jacks, running slalom, etc.
