Hidden Giants
The greatest strength grows hidden.
The fly agaric in the moss is only a brief moment of visibility. Beneath it grows the mycelium, the hidden network of fungi: fine threads that connect trees and support an entire forest. It is older, larger, and stronger than anything we see above the ground.
A hidden giant.
Children still see this world. They kneel down without hesitation. We adults have often lost this perspective. Hidden Giants invites us to rediscover it.
Giants come home
Home becomes a clearing.
Children bring the forest home with them. The hallway becomes a forest path, the living room a clearing. The Originals become stepping stones across the moss, the Board becomes the next hill.
And at some point, everyone is sitting on the floor, at eye level. No one planned this moment. It simply grew.
Board and Original in red and rose and special violet are two limited editions from the Hidden Giants Collection, only this season.

Why is dynamic sitting important?
Children sit a lot today – but often too still.
The Base brings movement back into everyday life – naturally, through small, playful micro-movements while sitting.
This strengthens posture, attention, and self-regulation – scientifically grounded and practical for everyday use.
More health
The curved Base activates 360° micro-movements. Studies show: Dynamic sitting reduces intervertebral disc pressure and helps prevent back pain.
More focus
Just a few centimeters of rocking increase concentration and keep the brain more alert than rigid sitting.
Self-regulation & fun
Rhythmic movements help reduce nervousness and organize sensory perception – ideal for school, home office, and therapy.
Sitting ≠ being still
Children today spend > 8 hours a day sitting – often motionless. Rigid sitting puts strain on the spine, metabolism, and attention.

I use it to sit at my desk and I love being able to move when I sit. And I use the top as a balanceboard. I Love that. I might add a piece to be able to sit a bit higher when needed.

Our two year old grandkid loves them. They are steps - stools - stepping stones - bowls for rice cakes! Limitless!

Due to lower back issues, I decided to try your seat at my desk where I spend long periods of time studying Portuguese. Since having your seat, I have not experienced any back or body pain when seated or standing. It's not for everyone, but I enjoy having mine. Plus the blue/green colors fit very well in my house, and I like having the extra storage space. Thank you for your product.

The missing backrest promotes an active posture and trains the back.
From the age when a child can sit safely, with supervision. Dynamic Small is ideal for getting started.
Yes! Especially in the home office or for movement breaks in everyday life.
Normal chairs provide passive support. Stapelstein® Dynamic activates.
The pad is a soft, non-slip seat cushion (Ø 30 cm) that sits on the Board. It makes sitting more comfortable, insulates against the cold, and gently cushions movements while balancing. It is included free with the Winter Special while supplies last.
