The first Stapelstein® store in the heart of Berlin is more than a salesroom - it is a vibrant place for interaction, inspiration, and community. Inspired by the concept of Third Places - beyond home (first place) and work (second place) - the space connects community, culture, and everyday life, becoming a lively place for encounters and social participation. The architecture combines omnichannel functionality with a playfully inviting spatial feel - without any obligation to purchase. Openness, lightness, and transparency shape the layout - light, water, and air become design principles.
The modular spatial structure allows for adaptability: Whether play activities, workshops, or community events – the space remains in motion. Gray-white meets bright colors, calm meets energy, order meets creative chaos. Inside and outside blend into each other, reflections create permeability and reflection. Architecture becomes a stage for new perspectives on design, play, and movement.
Inspired by quality, craftsmanship, and multifunctional thinking, the store creates a direct connection between product, people, and brand. Personal conversations with customers open up new opportunities for participatory, user-centered design. During and outside of regular opening hours, the space invites open use – as a place for dialogue, learning, play, or simply being human.
In addition to public use, the store also serves as a co-working space for employees of Stapelstein®. This makes it a hybrid experience space where work, encounter, and play meaningfully merge.
The Stapelstein® Store sees itself as a community hub: a space for everyone that makes movement and play tangible through design in an easy, accessible way - and brings the spark of play into everyday life.
