Stapelstein® ErfahrungsberichtStapelstein® Erfahrungsbericht

We have been using the Stapelstein® elements in a first-grade classroom for a month now, and both children and teachers are thrilled with them. Some children already knew Stapelstein® from home, but for most, the elements were completely new. That's why we initially brainstormed together what we could do with them (resulting in plenty of creative ideas). We also established a few rules for their use so that we can use the Stapelsteine for a long time and well. Since then, the Stapelstein® elements have been used several times a day for a variety of purposes. Most often, they serve as seating, with children coming up with new ideas every day. They often sit on or 'in' a Stapelstein® Original while reading, calculating, or writing, or they build a chair out of several Originals. This is optionally complemented with the Board and thus becomes the extremely popular 'wobble chair'. This especially helps children with a high need for movement, who find sitting still for long periods difficult. Some children like to combine the elements with a small folding table, allowing them to work at self-chosen spots in the classroom. In general, the Stapelstein® elements can create a variety of seating options that allow a great deal of room for individual needs and creative ideas.

The Originals are also often used as containers for various learning materials – rarely guided by the teacher, but mostly through the children's creative ideas. They have a lot of fun finding new uses for the colorful blocks and are always excited when they can use them in a new way. For example, the Board has already been used as a small rotating table to show a small picture clearly to all the children in the circle.

The elements are also great for bringing more movement into lessons. For example, while practicing the number sequence, the children balanced over the blocks and counted step by step. This allowed the children to better visualize the numbers and, at the same time, playfully train their balance. During movement breaks, the children have also used the Originals as a 'spinning plate' and have sat inside or hopped from one to the other.

The Stapelstein® elements are an absolute highlight for the children, and we notice in everyday school life how they stimulate their creativity and get them moving in many different ways. Thank you very much at this point for allowing us to win the Set – we look forward to it every day anew!
