In general, a Stapelstein sounds pleasantly warm when you drum on it. Nevertheless, the type of sound can be quite different and invites you to discover it. With the fingertips, for example, drumming sounds like drizzle. With the flat of the hand or with the fist, hard, powerful sounds are drummed. And stroking over the fine surface of the Stapelstein sounds as gentle as the wind. Different surfaces and stacking options also influence the sound. For example, if the Stapelstein is lying on water (in the bathtub or in a swimming pool), the sound becomes more intense when drumming.
