Play idea: Movement path with Stapelstein®
This Play idea for children aged 3-6 and 6-10 years promotes Coordination, Concentration, and Memory.
Instructions
The Stapelstein® elements are placed in a row with a foot-length distance between each. Then the participating children walk over the movement path. Each color represents a movement task.
Variations
Change of direction
You do not lay the Stapelstein® elements in a straight line, but for example in a zigzag or as a circle.
Additional rules
For certain colors, additional actions are performed, like clapping, making animal noises, or spinning.
Six-day race
If the movement path is in a circular shape, two of you can start at opposite points and try to catch each other.
Hodgepodge
When different colors are stacked on top of each other, you perform several tasks simultaneously or in sequence.
